Our 5 Favorite Springtime Desserts

It seems to always happen: As soon as we start having warmer weather days and perennials like rhubarb, peonies and sedum are beginning to peek out of the soil, winter steps in with just a bit more to hold onto. Today started with a heavy snowfall here in Iowa, which we always find dreamy, but we’ve also been looking forward to sunnier days with birds singing and picnics on the lawn. Knowing that fair weather is right around the corner, we are sharing 5 of our favorite springtime desserts that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth!

Our 5 Favorite Springtime Desserts

1) LEMON LAVENDER BUNDT CAKES

This cake combines two of our favorite things: lemon and dried lavender buds that we grow on our farm!

2) PAINTED FLORAL BUTTERCREAM CARROT CAKE

This was such a fun project, painting with frosting! But don’t be intimidated if you have no desire to make an elaborate cake. The cake recipe alone is one of the best carrot cakes we’ve ever tasted.

4) WHITE CHOCOLATE CAKE BITES

This one is just downright sweet to present at your luncheon. It looks complicated, but trust us when we say it isn’t at all! We guarantee you won’t have many leftovers with this yummy treat choice.
