"The troubles of modern life come from being divorced from nature."
When I began writing our blog in 2015, I was sparked with inspiration by growing a handful of herbs in clay pots on my dining room table: lavender, rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, and mint. I had no idea that they would lead me down a path to learning about healing with plants and how easily within reach herbal remedies were. I watched with amazement at how often we used the salves, balms, soaps, and teas that I made at home. It was amazing to see that even though we were marketed often to use over-the-counter prescriptions, it was much easier and just as effective to create our own remedies at home. Now, after several years of making my own natural healing recipes, cleaning products, and personal care products I have had my recipes featured all across the web and in publications such as Willow and Sage Magazine and Beekman 1802 Almanac.
A big part of these holistic remedies were using essential oils, which were highly potent and filled with healing constituents. I was often using essential oils that I purchased at the grocery store with little to no information about how they were being produced; I was being cheap and trying to save my money! I did not want to dole out my earnings to pay for a high quality essential oil that I assumed was any more effective. My mind changed when I read that DoTerra's oils were able to be taken internally. That was different. If you are unfamiliar, most essential oils sold at grocery stores over-the-counter are labeled as "not for internal use." You may not be getting a 100% pure essential oil. Similar to the way we discuss eating real food around here, I knew it was time to take the next step forward and begin using better oils!
Essential oils have been used for thousands of years to heal. Rooted in the earth and created from botanicals, these oils come purely from plant origins - roots, seeds, stems, bark, flowers, leaves, rinds, resins, fruit, and more. At DoTerra, they are extracted expertly through steam distillation and expression, or cold pressing. As a volatile aromatic compound, essential oils react with our olfactory receptors and help to maintain a healthy mind and body. The best part? While they work wonderfully for aromatherapy, DoTerra's pure oils can be used in other ways such as internally and topically.
Would you like to receive the benefit of DoTerra's essential oils at a wholesale price? I'd love to help you open a wholesale account and get started healing with plants in your own home! I decided to make the leap at becoming a Wellness Advocate after reading so many curious messages about which oils I use and where to purchase them. You don't have to sell essential oils to become a wholesale member, though you can if you would like to.
Send me a message! I would be happy to help you. I never want you to feel like you are forced to purchase oils; I hesitated becoming a Wellness Advocate for a long time because of that. What started as an interest has become a passion to create at home remedies and recipes that I know many of you enjoy trying yourself! Having the access to high quality oils that help support small farmers all over the world was something that I knew I wanted in on. If you'd like to purchase oils at a retail price, that is also an option! (:
