Under A Tin Roof is a lifestyle, home, and gardening company focused on creating content based around simple living, homesteading, and the creation of quality handmade goods. Founded by mother/daughter duo, Jill and Kayla Haupt.
Open seasonally, the Under A Tin Roof Country Store is home to a variety of homegrown produce and free range eggs from our farm, handmade products made by us, and locally sourced handmade goods and produce from our friends and neighbors. You will find that everything we offer is according to season, which makes our food both special and incredibly fresh! You won’t find food any more local than this. Stop by and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and baked goods on special occasions. Don’t forget to join a workshop, too, and learn to homestead yourself. We’d love to meet you!
We grow the vegetables, fruits, and flowers, but we know that we simply cannot do it all! That’s why we carefully select products from farms and small businesses to offer our customers so they can get a truly local experience. Our vendors include locally made soap and utility knives, raw honey, garlic, berries, pastured raised meats, heirloom seeds, and more. We love being able to partner with likeminded people who raise their food with sustainable practices in mind.
Every few weeks throughout the year we offer in-person workshops and classes where you can learn the many different avenues of running a homestead. Classes range in topics from backyard chicken keeping, garden planning and seed starting, small farm operation, beekeeping, and more. Check our workshop schedule to see our upcoming workshops!
