My Bridal Shower
This past weekend, Kyle and I celebrated with our friends and family at our wedding shower. It was held in the Country Store, which we rearranged and decorates specifically for the event. It was such a fun and busy week putting everything together! We had such a fun time sharing this time with our loved ones, neighbors, and close friends. Everything we do would not be possible without our amazing community!
Being the stubborn person that I am, while my amazing bridesmaids and mom planned most of the shower, I wanted to make some of the food for the party. I just can’t help myself! I made a few new recipes that I hope to share here on the blog; an heirloom tomato pie, french toast muffin cups, and sausage egg and cheese rolls. Yummy!
We decorated with what was growing around the farm. I planted around 6,000 sunflowers this year, and a lot of them decided to bloom this week! We used them for decor around the shop and also sent home all of our guests home with a bunch as a favor along with a packet of wildflower seeds. It was so adorable seeing all of the ladies leaving the shower with their sunflowers in hand!
We asked all of our guests to bring along a recipe card with them to put into a recipe box my mom put together. She illustrated and designed the cards, and each recipe card was sent along with the invitations. We received some really fun and unique recipes that I hope to share here in the coming weeks! I will cherish them forever.
It was such a beautiful day! The weather was mild and breezy. We are so thankful for all of the people who came to support our little family and share their love with us. It all happened so fast and in a whirlwind… I can only imagine how quickly the wedding day will go by. Cannot wait to share those photos with you all! Thank you for being here and supporting us from far away. We love getting to share with you!
