Happy Halloween 2018 from Under A Tin Roof!
Since starting our blog in 2015, we have kind of made it a tradition to share our matching Halloween costumes! While this year I was not exactly planning on doing a costume with Tad - he changed his mind so many times! - we ended up pulling something off last minute. Before you think that we sewed my costume in the last day or two, my grandma actually made it for me back when I was in theatre. Ha! Tad’s costume is not handmade, rather from the Disney store. I was really hoping to do handmade costumes with him each year, but this autumn has 1. been incredibly busy with our country store opening next week and 2. we passed this costume in the store recently and everyone instantly fell in love. I am honestly surprised that it’s from the Disney store! It’s not covered in logos and cheesy pieces. It’s the Jack Sparrow costume for toddlers.
Tad thinks that we’re dressed up as pirates, but what he doesn’t know is we’re really going as Outlander season 3. The next season premiere is this Sunday, in case you were wondering!
A little silly, but we always have fun taking these photos. Toddler opinions are definitely something I was not prepared to deal with when it came to Halloween costumes! I am going to hold onto matching costumes for as long as I can. I am just happy that Tad enjoys this look as much as I do! It always makes me wonder how different he will be next year and what he will enjoy. If you are curious, you can see our costume posts from past years here and here.
We hope that you have a wonderful Halloween if you celebrate and enjoy this season with its many charms and beautiful moments!
