UATR Embroidery Club | "Our Little Home" Hoop Introduction + Info for the New Year!
Welcome back, Embroidery Club friends! You know, I've had some time to think about how we could get a little closer with this club. I came up with this idea back in May as a way to continue to share my embroidered work. Before that I was weaving and embroidering custom orders for customers all over the country. While that was wonderful and I enjoyed it, there was a large part of that where I felt like I was being stretched too thin. I was no longer making anything for myself, but pleasing others, and losing a lot of work due to sending it out. My portfolio was lacking! This club has really been a saving grace for us. It's our most popular product by far and has brought so many creative people into our lives. I love that! While this club may not last forever, I love that it is here now, and that we can all share in enjoying patterns together.
There was a still a big part of me that felt a little defeated after the "discussion" end of it and the live videos just didn't work out. As much as I loved making the live videos, it was not realistic for my life. There is only so much time I can devote to being on the internet! I also began to notice that the viewer count just continued to lessen every week; it just wasn't interesting enough, which I don't blame you... I write much better than I talk, and that's just how I have always been! The "club" aspect was kind of dead. Boo! What to do now?
I think I came up with a great idea! Did you know that there are over 300 of you in this club?! How amazing is that! At least, that's how many of you are on the mailing list. We definitely are not able to produce that many physical kits, which is why I love being able to offer a digital pattern as well. That's the downside to a handmade business - only two hands! Anyway, my great idea is that I will now be sharing free patterns every week with our Embroidery Club Newsletter subscribers!!! It's going to be so fun. They'll just be little tidbits of designs, nothing over the top, and will be completely free for you to download and try out yourself. If you're already a subscriber, then go check your inbox right now! If not, you can click the button below to hop on board with the newsletter.
Let's move onto to this month's kit design! How adorable is this little house? I love it! I have been watching Little Women on repeat lately and was really inspired by the colors within their home. They remind a lot of what we have been seeing in our own new farmhouse and just felt that this design was appropriate for the current season of our lives. I knew that a little home would fit anyone's style just right!
One of my favorite aspects of this kit, whether you happen to purchase the supplies or not, is that it can be completely customizable to whichever color scheme you wish. For me, I stitched the house in a warm orange scale, though you could switch them around and have a yellow, cream, brown, or green house instead! It's such a perfect way to make this design feel unique and like it really belongs to you. I am hoping to make a few more samples in the next weeks of different colored houses to inspire you!
The best part? This kit is personalized! . The kits will come printed with the house design and a traceable alphabet will be available in your digital PDF instructions that you can use to trace on the fabric yourself. Ft in your family's name or any other phrase you might desire like "Our Little Home"! I hope that you all find this kit sweet and perfect to hang amongst your other treasures and photos. Hurry up to get your hands on this kit before they are gone. We have a limited supply! I am excited to see what you create. As always, tag your work on Instagram so we can see it! #UATRembroider
