UATR Embroidery Club | Goodbye to July!

Another month has passed us by this summer! Can you believe it? It's the dog days over here, and I am honestly already looking forward to the cooler days ahead in September. Though, this is probably the first year EVER in my entire life that I have been trying to soak up as much of summer as I can before it's gone, and I have to say, I think the garden is the culprit of those feelings. I don't mind sweating outside because I know it's for something that I love doing, and why not lose a few extra pounds by working hard in the garden and on the homestead. I'd rather do that than go for a run, but that's just me. Ha! Who else is with me?

Embroidery Club was a little off this month. I missed out on a live session, and I really kind of missed the connection here on the blog, no matter how small it was. I am really still trying to rack my brain around how to get better connected. Do I open a Facebook group? Do we try some other platform where you can share photos and experiences? Or is it even all worth it? And I realized that this is truly the place where I want to see you all, where I want to talk. I did receive quite a few photos of you all working this kit, which was awesome! Thank you so much for sending them my way and for using our hashtag #UATRembroider on Instagram. If you have an in-progress photo or completed work photo you'd like to share, feel free to send it my way! Our email is underatinroof2015(at)gmail(dot)com, or you can message us on Instagram. We try to answer them all, but we apologize if we can't get to your message. We're trying to live our lives as device free as possible! We hope you understand.

I loved hearing how much fun you had with this kit! I think the bee was really exciting to try out, and I received a few messages from you guys saying how much you loved trying all of the new stitches throughout. That makes me so happy! This kit was such a great way to get in the mood for summer, and I am so happy for you to try out the kit for next month!

Can you say harvest? August is such a great month for gardening. Summer veggies are ready to be picked and eaten up. I love it! August's kit is a little bit simpler than the previous two; I wanted something that was quick and easy to finish. I'll save my little intro for next week when we start the August club, but I am happy to say that you can now pre-order this kit! So go get 'em before they're gone!!! (I am currently filling this in at 7 AM today, and we have SIX kits left! Ah!)

Now it's time to say goodbye to the bee! I really hope you enjoyed this kit. If you still want a chance to go grab it, be sure to do so now! Digital Downloads of the instructions are still available, but they will disappear on August 1st. You won't ever be able to get this pattern again! They're also on sale for 50% off! That makes them only $5!! Definitely don't miss out on this embroidery pattern. I am not sure when we will have another bee design!

ALSO. It is worth mentioning that this upcoming month we are changing some ways that kit purchasers receive their PDF instructions. Instead of receiving a mass email from me, which some people have lost, you will be receiving a coupon code in your package. This code will allow you to purchase the Digital Download of August's pattern for FREE. Then the instructions will head straight to your inbox, and we don't have to worry about lost emails! We hope this helps!!

Okay, challenge time! I think every blog post, I want to do a fun little challenge. This will be a good way for us to connect more, and you'll get a sweet little deal from me. Leave a comment below letting us know a little more about yourself! We'd love to know which part of the world you're joining us from, what your embroidery experience is, and anything else you want to share! We'd also like to know this: which fictional character are you most like? I think I would be a combination of Claire from Outlander and Claire from The Time Traveler's Wife. Maybe I was meant to be named Claire? LOL.

Leave us a comment here on the blog, and we will choose one lucky person to win next month's kit for FREE. Yup! You heard right. You definitely don't want to miss out on this fun prize! We are so excited to see what your answers are and get to know you better. **Please be sure to leave your email behind when you comment so that we know where to contact you. If you do not leave an email, you won't be considered to win. Also, as a bonus, click HERE and sign up for our Embroidery Club Newsletter! You'll never miss out on kit release dates, updates, and more fun news about embroidery.

Thanks for reading! Can't wait to begin in August! (:
